This may be the only way you eat grapefruit from now on. 🎥: @tastemadeuk Grapefruit Creme Brulee Ingredients: 2 pink grapefruit 400ml double cream 40g caster sugar 4 large egg yolks To serve: 3 tbsp caster sugar Whipped cream Steps: 1. Pre-heat the oven to 140c. 2. Halve all the grapefruit, then carefully and neatly remove all of the flesh, setting aside for later. 3. In a saucepan, heat the cream and sugar until just below simmering point. Beat the egg yolks in a bowl, then slowly add the hot cream, whisking continuously. 4. Add 4 tbsp grapefruit juice, then divide the mixture between the empty grapefruit shells. Place in a small roasting tray, then pour boiling water into the tin so it comes half way up the shells. 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the custard is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes in the tin. Remove the grapefruit shells and place in the fridge to chill completely (at least 3 hours). 6. To serve: Sprinkle with the caster sugar and brulee with a blowtorch. Serve topped with some whipped cream and decorate with slices of grapefruit.

Your weekend plans: making @themodernnonna 4-ingredient peanut butter cups! 🎥: @themodernnonna INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup coconut oil ( no substitute ) 1/3 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder peanut butter ( or any nut/seed ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ STEPS: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Melt your coconut oil on the stove. Take it off the heat as soon as it melts and add the cacao and maple syrup. Whisk well. 2. Take 11 muffin liners and add 2 teaspoons of your chocolate, followed by 1 teaspoon of any nut or seed butter and top them off with another two teaspoons of chocolate. 3. INGREDIENTS (makes around 20 fritters): (Veggies can be shredded or julienned) 2 cups butternut squash 1 cup sweet potato 1 cup carrot 1/2 red onion 2-3 green onions 2 cups shrimp 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 2-3 tsp fish sauce (batter) 3/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup flour 1 egg Cold water 1 tsp annatto powder STEPS: 1. Prepare veggies by shredding or julienning them into a large bowl 2. Add in shrimp, garlic powder, black pepper, and fish sauce; let marinate for 10-30 mins 3. Prepare your batter: combine cornstarch, flour, annatto powder, egg, and just enough cold water to reach a thin, crepe-like batter consistency 4. Combine prepared batter with marinated veggie mixture until fully coated 5. In a preheated pan, deep fry (on medium-high heat) about 1/4 cup of the battered veggies into the oil; ensure you spread the mixture out thinly and evenly to maximize crispiness 6.
